Agency account wants 8% of spend — is anyone actually netting more with one?

Had a rep on a call last week - agency account, no deposit, 8% of spend on top of what I already hand the platform. I'm at about 4k a week right now.

Ran my own accounts for two years and I've lost maybe five of them. Each one hurt, but I didn't pay anyone for the privilege. 8% of 16k a month is 1280 before I've made a cent on the traffic.

Is anyone here actually netting more with an agency account than without? Not "it survives longer" - I mean the number at the end of the month.

Caveat first: one vertical, a mild one, so this may not transfer.

8% is the top of the range and it buys two things - the account doesn't die on a Tuesday, and someone answers when it does. 1) if your own accounts last four months you're paying 8% to fix a problem you don't have, 2) if they last three weeks it's the cheapest line on your P&L and you should stop reading this thread.

8% is nothing if it lets you scale past 1k a day without a heart attack!! Mine paid for itself the first week honestly

the rev share isn't the price mate. the price is that the account isn't yours, and the day you argue about an invoice it stops existing

Is depend who is agency. Real one with platform relationship, 5 to 8 percent is normal price. Guy in telegram with spreadsheet take 10 and disappear anyway.

I pay 6 now. Worth it, but i keep two own account running same time. Never only one door.

Nobody's given me a net number, which I suppose is the answer.
