Anyone still running Plisio for invoicing, or has everyone moved off it?

Inherited a store running Plisio invoices and I am trying to work out whether the weirdness is the gateway or the previous guy.

Webhook fires two or three times for the same invoice, minutes apart, identical payload. His handler credits the order every time it sees a callback, which is exactly as bad as it sounds and is how I found out.

# what was there
if payload["status"] == "completed":
    credit_order(payload["order_number"])

Is the duplicate delivery normal here, or is something misconfigured? And is anyone still on it in 2025 or should I be planning a migration instead of a patch.

Still on it, two stores, no plans to move. Estonia entity, 0.5%, signup was email only when I opened the second one last autumn.

Duplicate callbacks are normal and not a misconfiguration — at-least-once delivery is the sane thing for a gateway to do, since the alternative is losing one. Key off the invoice id and make the credit idempotent.

One thing worth changing while you are in there: check whether the previous guy left settlement going to the hosted balance. Auto-forward to a wallet you control is a checkbox and it is the difference between a bad week and a bad quarter.

if your handler isn't idempotent the gateway isn't your problem

Correct and I walked into that one. Patched rather than migrated.

if payload["status"] == "completed" and mark_seen(payload["txn_id"]):
    credit_order(payload["order_number"])

mark_seen is a unique insert, so the second delivery is a no-op. Auto-forward was indeed off. It is on now.
