Not a nomad thread. I don't want the top ten list - I want the place you actually stayed and got work done, and what went wrong with it.

Mine was Tbilisi, four months in 2022. Cheap, fast internet, nobody asked what I did. Went wrong because I did nothing but work and by month three I'd forgotten why I'd gone anywhere.

Where's yours?

Batumi in winter. Empty, internet is good, price is nothing. Anyway by week six you lose your mind because there is nothing there. Summer is opposite problem, is everybody there.

Florianopolis my friend. Actually is perfect three months of the year and impossible the other nine because everybody come.

The internet is fine. The problem is the beach is also fine (praia boa) and then is 4pm and you did nothing.

Wherever you were standing when the money started working. Nobody has ever moved somewhere and become disciplined on arrival.

Lisbon, eight months. Excellent right up until the entire industry moved there as well.

Chiang Mai in 2014, before it became a punchline. Two hundred dollars a month for a place, maybe forty of us doing this, and half of them are still doing it now.

Went back in 2019 and it was a co-working advert with a temple attached. The town didn't change, the people did. Same happened to Tbilisi and it'll happen to whichever one is next about eighteen months after somebody posts a thread like this one.
