Box at BPW is up 14 month now, never one minute down, so is not complaint about the server.

Is complaint about the ticket. I ask for IP swap on 6 March because one address is in a blocklist that is not my fault. Eleven day, no answer. Not "no", not "we look at it". Nothing.

Anyway question is simple. Somebody here get a ticket answered by them this year? Or is it now pay eighty dollar and never speak to human again.

The silence is not a bug in the product, it is close to the product.

An anonymous-signup host with no account verification has no way to know that the person in the ticket is the person who paid, and the cheapest way to handle that is to answer slowly or not at all. You bought a shop that does not want a relationship with you. The upside is the same property that annoys you today.

Which DC? The Moldova one and the Netherlands one behave like two different companies.

IME the fix is to stop having a class of problem that requires them.

A blocklisted address is only fatal if that address is what your traffic resolves to. Put something you control in front, keep the TTL low, and an IP swap becomes a DNS change you make yourself in thirty seconds instead of a ticket you wait eleven days for.

# keep the record short so a swap is yours to make
example.com. 60 IN A 203.0.113.10
example.com. 60 IN A 198.51.100.22

Two origins, sixty second TTL, and the abuse desk you cannot reach stops being on your critical path. Costs you another cheap box. FWIW that is the answer to about eight different threads on this board.

Depends what you're running, but eighty a month is the top of the market for what that is, and you are paying it for the DMCA-ignored line on the about page rather than for the hardware.

Worth noticing what they take for payment. Bitcoin, Paymeer, Webmoney. Those last two tell you roughly when this shop was built and who its long-term customers are, and it is not people who opened a ticket expecting a same-day reply. Seychelles registration, racks in five or six countries, and per-location exclusions that still apply whatever the marketing says.

If the uptime is genuinely 14 months clean I would keep it and route around the support desk. If you need support, you are in the wrong tier of the market entirely.

Ticket answered after 26 day. Answer was no. Box still up though.
