Dumbest thing you've done at 4am that actually cost you money

It is 4am and I have just done something so stupid I need to tell strangers about it instead of sleeping.

Was rebalancing a campaign. Meant to set the daily cap to 60. Typed it into the lifetime field instead and set the daily to what I'd meant as the lifetime. Went to bed extremely pleased with myself.

Woke up nine hours later to £1,140 spent on a widget set I'd already decided to kill and a CPA that made me laugh out loud in a bad way.

So make me feel better. What's the dumbest 4am thing you've done that actually cost you money? Real numbers please, I need company!!

The dumbest thing I did at 4am was be awake at 4am. Everything after that is a symptom.

Sent a payout to an address I'd copied out of a support ticket instead of my own wallet. 2019, about $2,600.

Support were lovely about it. Support could do nothing about it. The bit that still gets me is that I checked the first four characters and the last four characters, exactly like you're told to, and the middle was wrong. Someone had done that on purpose and I walked straight into it at half four in the morning.

Never move money after midnight now. That's the only rule I've kept.
