First payout ever lands Friday and I don't want it in my bank — sorry if this is basic

Sorry if this is the wrong section, mods move it if so.

Background, because I think it matters. I've been at this since February and mostly failing. Last month something finally worked and the network is paying me $840 on Friday. Not life-changing, but it's the first money I've earned that wasn't a wage.

The payout form wants a bank account. I have one bank account. It's the one my salary lands in and my partner sees the statement. I don't believe I'm doing anything wrong, I'd just rather not explain a wire from Cyprus over dinner this month.

So what do people actually use instead? I genuinely don't know what the normal answer is here.

ask the network what they can pay in before you ask us. half of them only do wire and then none of this matters

grindstone is right that it starts with the network, and the answer is better than most people expect. A lot of CPA networks will pay in crypto on request even when the form only offers bank — you have to email support and ask, it's rarely in the dropdown.

If they will, you take it in USDT and the question turns into what you spend it from, which is a much easier problem. The Payments & Processing board here is where people work through payout rails properly, and Crypto Cards & Prepaid covers the spending side. Both are more current than anything I'd summarise for you tonight.

One caveat. Don't let the first payout of your life be the test. Ask for a small test payment first if they'll do one.

I will say this once and then leave it alone: receiving it outside your bank does not change whether it is taxable, only how visible it is. If this turns into a real income stream, the year you sort out your reporting is considerably cheaper than the year after.

take usdt on tron. settles in seconds, costs about a dollar, and nobody reviews it on a wednesday. banks are a solved problem you're choosing to keep

Thank you all, properly.

grindstone — emailed support, they do USDT, it just isn't on the form. That was the entire blocker and it took four minutes to clear.

hana_v — taking a $50 test payment first, that hadn't occurred to me at all.

quietaccountant — noted, and not ignored. I'd rather deal with it before it's a mess.

Will report back once it lands.
