Holyheld work perfect at home. Apple Music and iCloud both bill every month, no problem, EUR, is fine.

I travel now for six week outside EEA and both fail. Not the shop, only the Apple subscription. Apple say try another payment method, card say nothing.

Is the card blocked outside EEA or is only the billing address thing? Anybody test this.

Holyheld settles in EUR only and is licensed across the thirty EEA countries — that is a card issuance boundary, not a spending one, so travelling does not disable it.

What usually breaks is on Apple's side: media services bill against the account region, and if anything about that has shifted while you are away, the charge is presented as a different currency to the one the card is set up to settle. The card sees a currency it does not natively hold and the conversion step is where it dies.

Check the account region rather than the card, and do not change it while you are travelling.

Six weeks abroad and the only thing you miss is Apple Music.
