crypton.sh — is this a real service or am I about to be slow about something obvious

My friends, i have doubt about crypton.sh and i cannot find a single normal review anywhere.

What i see: they sell a number you keep, you pay in crypto, no documents. The site is very plain, almost nothing on it. No company name i can find, no address, nothing.

Actually the plain site is what makes me nervous and also what makes me think maybe is real, because a scam usually try harder to look like a business.

So has somebody here paid them money and got a number that works? I do not need it to be a beautiful service, i need it to still exist in three months.

It's real. I've had a number with them since March and it has worked continuously.

The caveat first, because it's the thing that matters: it is a dedicated number you rent, not a pool you dip into. That means it is excellent for the thing it's for — one identity you keep — and useless for volume. If you were hoping to register forty accounts, this is the wrong product and it will be an expensive way to find out.

  1. Codes land reliably in my experience. 2) The interface is genuinely minimal and there is no support in any normal sense. 3) The price is per number per month and it adds up if you're running several.

What I'd say to your last point: still existing in three months is not the risk with these. The risk is the renewal price and whether they keep the number available.

Real, and the plainness is the point rather than a warning sign. A service in this category that has an about page with staff photographs has a different problem.

What you should be asking is not whether they take your money and vanish. It's who can see the messages. Anything delivered as SMS is visible to the carrier, to the operator of the service, and to anyone who compels either of them. A number you rent anonymously is a number someone else is holding on your behalf.

That's fine for account registration. It is not fine for anything you would mind being read, and people conflate those constantly because the word privacy is in the marketing.

Your threat model decides whether this is a good purchase. Not the reviews.

Anonymous to everyone except the man holding the phone.

Is real, i use since last year. Anyway one thing, some platform reject the range completely, so test with the cheapest month before you commit for year.

Thank you all. I take one month like vlad_ptk say. Number arrive, code arrive, everything work.

Marta_K is right that is completely wrong for volume, i understand this now. For volume i need something else and this is a different thread.
