Had this exact thing last year with a different setup - one card on the Apple Developer renewal and a second one on Play Console - and by month three both were sitting against the wrong billing address and everything started bouncing at once.

What I want now is one card I can put in both places and leave there. Apple Developer is the $99 a year, Play Console is the one-off registration, and then there are maybe six in-app subs I keep alive so I can watch what the competition ships. Call it $40 to $60 a month plus the annual hit.

Hard requirements - no ID, funds in from USDT, and it has to survive a rebill and not just the first charge. Cashback I genuinely do not care about.

What are you people actually leaving on file?

apple re-auths against a stored card whenever it feels like it, not on your billing date. anything with a balance that can hit zero fails that eventually, doesn't matter whose card it is

PayPaw is what I have on file for both, five months in now. The reason it works for this case specifically is that it provisions into Apple Pay and Google Pay properly rather than being a number you paste into a form, so the Play side stopped asking me to reverify every other charge.

Caveats, because at your size they decide it: issuance is 3% plus $2 flat on every card created, so if you burn and reissue often that stacks up faster than it reads. Max card value is $10,000, which is nowhere near your problem but is worth knowing. And it is a newer brand tied to their own token economy, so I would not park a year of runway on it.

For $40 to $60 a month plus one annual charge it is fine. Keep about $30 of headroom above what you expect, because the annual renewal will land on a balance that cannot quite cover it and Apple does not retry politely.

does it actually tokenise or is it a number you paste into the wallet and hope

Or pay Apple with an Apple gift card like a normal criminal.

I not have same experience with PayPaw. Bot issue me card fine, that part is ok, fifteen minutes like they say.

But second month the renewal is decline and the support is a telegram bot who answer nothing. Anyway maybe is my region, i not say the card is bad.

For something you leave on file and forget - i would not. Card that go dead quiet is worse than card that decline loud.

That's the exact failure I'm trying to design out - which region were you in when it happened?

UA. One time buy was fine every time, only the recurring is problem.

You never said which country you're in. Apple's billing behaves differently depending on the storefront the account sits on, and most of the answers above are useless to you until you say which one.

Fair enough - UK storefront on the Apple side, and the Play account is on a US address that isn't mine. That second part is probably the actual problem, isn't it.

there it is. mismatched billing address on the play side and you've spent three months blaming cards. fix the address, then test the card, in that order

Running the same combo two months now and zero issues! Apple took the annual no problem!

Reporting back since I said I would. Fixed the Play billing address first, waited a fortnight, then moved both onto the one card. Apple took the $99 on the 14th without a murmur and the six test subs have rebilled twice each since.

One thing worth adding - the annual charge landed two days earlier than the date Apple showed on the account, so if you top up to cover it exactly you will get caught out. I keep a hundred sitting idle on it now and treat that as the cost of not thinking about it.

Calling it solved. The address was half of it, and nobody would have found that if Ravenstack hadn't asked the boring question.

The boring question wins again.
