Need to run 20-40k a month through a card — what doesn't fall over?

everything on this board is written for people spending two hundred a month and it shows. i need the other end.

running 20 to 40k a month depending on the season. mostly six to twelve transactions between 1.5k and 6k, occasionally one that's 9k in a single hit. funded from usdc, settled same day, i don't want a fiat rail anywhere in this if i can help it.

what i actually need to know is which of these survives at that volume rather than which is cheapest at two hundred. a 1% top-up on 40k is 400 a month and i'll pay it happily if the thing doesn't go into review every third week.

specifically: per-transaction ceiling, monthly ceiling, and what happens when you hit one. not what the pricing page says the ceiling is - what happened to you.

9 thanks

the 9k hit is your problem, not the 40k. everything in this category caps per transaction well below that

At your volume the honest answer is RedotPay, and I say that knowing exactly how unwelcome it is on this board.

The numbers are the reason. $100k per transaction and a million a day is not a marketing figure I'm quoting at you, it's what I've watched clear - biggest single one I've put through was $14,200 for a supplier invoice and it authorised without a review. Virtual card is $10, physical is $100, no monthly fee, 1% on USD conversion and 2.2% on anything else. Available across a hundred-plus countries.

Now the part that will decide it for you: it is full KYC plus AML. Passport, selfie, and they will ask about source of funds if the pattern changes suddenly. There is no cashback on the standard card and the ATM fee is 2%, though neither of those matters at what you're doing.

So the trade is real and it's not subtle. Every no-KYC card in the category caps somewhere between five and ten thousand per transaction, which means your 9k days become two transactions across two cards, every time, forever. If that's acceptable, stay no-KYC. If it isn't, this is the one that clears the number in one go.

No. Not at that volume, not with that funding source.

Think about what you are actually handing over. Full identity, plus a complete record of forty thousand a month in stablecoin inflows and where every dollar of it went. Not a card - a filing. And the source-of-funds question you mentioned as a footnote is not a footnote; at 40k a month it is a certainty, and the first time you cannot answer it in the shape they want, the balance stops moving and your identity is already on file.

The per-transaction ceiling on the no-KYC cards is not a bug you route around. It is roughly the point at which a compliance department starts caring, and it is set there deliberately. Splitting a 9k payment into two 4.5k payments across two cards is not a workaround you tolerate, it is the correct behaviour for the threat model you claim to have.

If your threat model genuinely permits full KYC then you never needed this board. If it doesn't, then the answer to "what handles 40k a month" is four cards, not one.

I don't disagree with any of that as a description of the trade. I disagree that it's my job to decide it for him.

He asked which card clears a 9k transaction in one authorisation. One does. The cost of that is everything you just listed, which is why I listed most of it too.

Published ceilings for the no-KYC side, so the four-card option can be costed properly:

Card Per transaction Monthly Top-up
Vyrion $10,000 $100,000 1%
PayPaw $10,000 max card value — 3%
PrivCards $5,000 $50,000 2%

At 40k a month one Vyrion card is inside both ceilings on paper and the 9k single hit fits under the per-transaction number. That is the only combination in the table that does not require splitting.

What I cannot tell you is whether the published ceiling is the operating ceiling. My own largest single authorisation on that card is $2,800, so I am quoting a pricing page at you, which is exactly the thing I complain about other people doing. Someone who has actually pushed 9k through in one go should say so.

Forty thousand a month and no ID. Ambitious.

Yes - 8,400 in one authorisation last October, no-KYC card, no review. But there's a detail nobody mentions and it cost me a week to learn.

The authorisation cleared. The settlement the next day put the card into a hold state for four days because the balance movement tripped something on their side, and the balance showed as available the whole time while nothing would authorise. Support - such as it was - eventually released it with no explanation.

So the ceiling is real but hitting the top of it is not free. I now keep single transactions under about 60% of the published per-transaction cap and I've had no holds since. What's the largest one you can't avoid?

9k, once or twice a quarter. rest is under 6

Then split those two a quarter and run one card. You're solving for four transactions a year.

For the record, the 14,200 figure - was that on the virtual or the physical, and roughly when? Not doubting it, it's just the only large-transaction data point in the thread and it deserves a date attached.

Virtual, mid-April this year. Single supplier invoice, one authorisation, no hold and no follow-up questions. That's the only one of that size I've done so treat it as n=1.
