$9,412 locked on the gateway balance since Tuesday — I'll update this as it moves

Every thread like this on the board is written after the fact by someone who already knows how it ended. I want one that gets written while it is happening, because the useful part is the timing and nobody ever records the timing.

Setup: hosted crypto checkout, email-only signup, running since February. Straight USDT in, auto-forward off because I batch withdrawals weekly. Single vertical, disclosed, nothing exotic.

Month Volume Withdrawals Longest wait
Jun $21,800 4 40 min
Jul $27,300 4 2 hrs
Aug $34,900 5 6 hrs
Sep (to 9th) $11,600 1 ongoing

Tuesday the 3rd I requested a withdrawal of the full balance, $9,412.18. It went to "processing" and has not moved since. Account still accepts payments — invoices go green, balance keeps climbing. Only the withdrawal is stuck. Support has replied twice, both times with the same sentence about a routine security check.

I will post every state change with a date and nothing else. If someone wants to bet on how this ends, now is the time.

you jumped from 21k to 35k in two months and then asked for the whole balance at once. that's the trigger, mate

Weekly is too slow. I withdraw every day, small amounts, boring pattern. Boring pattern is the whole strategy.

Did you change the withdrawal address for this one? Nine times in ten the "routine security check" is a new destination address on an account that has used the same one for six months.

Fair question and yes, partly. Same chain, new address — I rotate the destination roughly quarterly and this was a rotation withdrawal.

So that is one variable I cannot rule out. It does not explain a seven-day hold on its own but I am not going to pretend it is irrelevant.

auto-forward off is the decision that put you here. you chose to let a custodian hold nine grand of usdt for a week so your bookkeeping would be tidier.

turn it on, eat the extra network fees, batch on your own side where nobody can pause it. the fee you saved batching is about eleven dollars a month. that's what you priced your access to nine thousand at.

For a data point: I had the same status on the same product in March, on a much smaller amount, and it cleared on day nine with no documents requested. No explanation before or after.

The thing worth watching is whether they escalate from "security check" to asking for anything about you. As long as the wording stays generic it is usually queue depth. The day the wording changes is the day the clock actually starts.

Day 10. Wording changed.

New message this morning asks for: source of funds documentation, a description of the business activity, and government ID for the account holder. Withdrawal still frozen, deposits still working.

The day the wording changes is the day the clock actually starts.

Noted, and you were right within 48 hours of saying it.

Stop. Before you upload anything, decide what the ID is worth to you against $9,412.

The signup was email-only. That was the entire reason you picked it. If you now hand over a passport, you have not recovered a no-KYC account — you have converted it into a KYC'd account, retroactively, on a balance they already control. Everything you send is permanent and is not confined to this dispute.

There is a version of this where the right move is to eat the loss and never touch that operator again. It is not the version anyone wants, and it is a real option.

Routine security check. Ten days. Routine.

Day 13. Sent business description and three months of invoice exports. No ID yet.

I take the point about permanence. I am doing this in order of least damaging first and stopping at the step that works, if one of them does. If it comes down to the passport I will post that I sent it rather than quietly sending it and claiming otherwise, which is what usually happens in these threads.

Sorry to jump into your thread, and sorry if this counts as hijacking, I'll delete if a mod says so.

I'm at a much smaller scale — about $600 sitting there — and mine went into the same processing state on the 14th. Nothing asked for yet. I only mention it because if two of us are stuck in the same fortnight it might be something on their side rather than something either of us did with an address rotation.

Anyway. Really hope yours clears. Thanks for actually posting the dates, it's the only thread I could find that had any.

Had almost exactly this last year — different operator, same shape. Eleven days, then a request for docs, then silence for another two weeks, then the money appeared with no message at all.

What I learned from it: keep replying to the same ticket instead of opening new ones. I opened three, they got assigned to three different people, and each one restarted the review from the beginning. The delay was partly self-inflicted and I only worked that out afterwards.

Are you keeping it to one thread on their side?
