Njalla checkout dropped my Monero payment twice — what else takes XMR?

Sorry if this is the wrong section, it's sort of a payment question but it's about a host so I put it here.

I've been trying to order a small VPS from Njalla for two days. Both times I sent Monero to the address on the invoice and both times the invoice expired before it showed as paid — once after about forty minutes, once after nearly an hour. The XMR left my wallet both times and eventually came back, minus fees, which they refunded without me having to chase, so I want to be fair to them.

I like the model and I'd rather stay. But I can't order. Is this a known thing? And if I do give up, what else takes Monero and doesn't want a name?

Monero confirm slow when network busy. Forty minute is not unusual, ten confirmation take time.

Try send with higher fee. Or ask support to extend the invoice, they do this if you ask before it expire. Is not their bug, is how the coin work.

Depends what you're running, but for a small box with Monero and no name: there's an API-first shop that wants no email at all and bills by the day, there's a hardware-focused one at about four euro that takes XMR, and there's a plain commercial host that takes fifty-odd coins and waives ID for crypto orders.

The last one isn't private in the sense you mean — it's a normal company with a normal abuse desk — but if doesn't want a name is the actual requirement rather than ignores complaints, it's the cheapest way to get there.

Worth separating two things you have merged.

Njalla's product is that they are the registrant and you are not. That is a WHOIS shield, and it is the strongest one available. It has nothing to do with whether they take Monero.

If what you want is Monero at checkout, half the sector takes it. If what you want is somebody else's name on the record, there is one of them, and fifteen euro for a small box is the price of that, not of the hosting.

That worked — asked support to extend before it expired and they did it within about twenty minutes. Third attempt went through.

Thank you all, genuinely. I'd have given up and bought something worse.
