Question is simple. I register account year and half ago with only email and password, no document, nothing.

Now i have client who want move his checkout and he ask me directly if he must send passport. I not know because i not open new account since long time.

Anyone open one recently? Is still email only or now they want papers at registration. Anyway if answer is "depends" then say what it depend on.

Opened one three weeks ago for a client in Singapore. Email and password, confirm the address, you are in the dashboard and can generate an invoice inside ten minutes. No documents requested at any point during signup.

The part worth telling your client honestly: they reserve the right to ask later. It is in the terms, not a rumour — large flows or a flagged account and they can come back and request ID. So the accurate sentence is "no KYC to start", not "no KYC". If he cannot survive being asked in month eight, the signup being light today does not help him.

0.4% with their token is basically free!! Compare that to what a card processor takes off you, it's not even the same sport

you're pricing the token at today and the fee at forever, mate. headline is 0.5 and the discount is a position you took, not a discount you got

One account, seven months, here is the actual shape of it.

Month Settled Docs requested
Aug $6,300 no
Sep $11,900 no
Oct $14,400 no
Nov $22,100 no
Dec $28,700 no
Jan $19,050 no
Feb $16,200 no

$118,650 through one email-only account and nobody has ever asked me for anything. 0.5% came off cleanly every time, no spread bolted on underneath it, and auto-forward fired within the settlement window on all but two invoices.

I would still use it and I would still tell you the caveat rather than the number: the same terms that let them stay light let them stop being light, and I have no way to test that except by continuing to not trigger it. Plisio is the same trade at the same headline if you want a second account standing by, which you should have anyway.

And n=1 account is not a sample. It is an anecdote with a spreadsheet attached.

Volume is not the trigger. Complaint is.

I had docs requested on an account doing under four thousand a month. One customer went to the provider directly instead of to the merchant, and the request landed inside a week. Your hundred and eighteen grand is not what keeps you quiet — nobody escalating about you is what keeps you quiet.

That is one account and one complaint, which is exactly the objection I just made about my own data.

Both things can be true and neither of us can show it. If the trigger is complaints, the low-volume operator with an angry customer base is more exposed than I am, and that is a genuinely different piece of advice to the one everybody repeats. I am not conceding it on n=1 though.

Update for anyone who search this later. Client is moved, two month running, registration was email only exactly like above.

Anyway i not leave balance sitting. Auto-forward from first day, so if one morning they want papers i lose account and not money. Is different problem then.
