My friend, i have doubt about which number to use and i think many people here have the same.

The first code is easy. Any cheap number receive the first code, i never have problem with this. The problem is three weeks later when the account ask to confirm again — and now the number is not mine anymore, is rented to another person, and my account is dead. This happen to me eleven times from twenty accounts in march.

So the question is not which service give cheap code. Is which number is still mine in one month, two month, six month. I pay more for this, no problem, but i want to know what actually work and not what people say in the sales page.

What do you use for the accounts you keep?

You rented a number and expected to keep it. The service worked exactly as advertised.

Which platform? It genuinely changes the answer — one of them re-verifies aggressively at week three and one of them never asks again unless you trip something.

The general shape though. There are three tiers and people conflate them constantly:

  1. Per-code numbers. You are renting the number for four minutes. Cheapest. Never use one on an account you want in a month.

  2. Long-term rental, usually monthly. The number stays assigned to you while you pay. Costs maybe 15-30x a single code. This is the tier that answers your question.

  3. Numbers you own — a physical SIM, or a proper carrier account. Survives everything, doesn't scale past a handful, and ties something real to the account.

My own split is 2 for anything that has to live and 1 for burners. I stopped pretending tier 1 could do tier 2's job in about 2021.

Is the one that ask again after some week, yes. And you are right, i was using tier one for everything because the price look the same when you not think about it.

Actually the eleven dead account cost me more than one year of tier two would cost. Obrigado (thank you).

Tier 2 has a failure mode people don't think about. The number stays yours while you pay, and the provider has a complete list of which of their numbers received codes from which platform. That list exists whether you trust them or not, and it is the single most useful document anyone investigating a network of accounts could be handed.

Depends on your threat model. If you are farming accounts to resell, irrelevant, pay the monthly. If any of those accounts touches something you'd rather not be linked to twenty others, understand that you have consolidated your entire network under one vendor's billing record, and you did it to save fifteen minutes.

Nobody is, right up until they are. The point is to know what you've bought, not to be frightened of it.

Third option nobody mention. Buy physical sim, cheap prepaid, from country where you not need document. Ten sim, one small box that hold them, is not phone farm, is just modem.

Cost me maybe 4 euro per sim per month to keep alive with small topup. They survive everything because they are real. Anyway you cannot do this for two hundred account but for ten good account is the best thing i find.

One problem — some of them cancel the number if you not send sms sometimes. So every month i send one sms from each. Twenty minute of my life, is fine.

Is like 60-80 dollar for 8 or 16 slot. Search gsm modem pool, is normal equipment, nothing special.

Agree with all of that and one caveat: the countries where you can still buy a SIM without documents have been shrinking every year for a decade, and the ones that are left mean your account's number country is somewhere the platform may not expect given everything else about the profile.

That's a real cost. Not a fatal one — I've run mismatched number and IP countries for years without trouble — but it's a mismatch you're adding deliberately, so at least add it deliberately.

Update after three week for who find this later.

I move the twelve account i care about to monthly rental number. Cost is 38 dollar month for all, which is nothing compare what i lose before. Two of them already ask second code and both work.

The rest, the burner, still cheap code, and now when they die i not care because they were supposed to die.

I not try the sim box yet but i think next year maybe. Thank you everybody.
