paypaw card went dead with $340 on it and the bot just says nothing

PayPaw card just stopped. Every transaction declined since about midday, three hundred and forty dollars still showing on the balance!

The Telegram bot answers the menu commands fine but the moment you ask it anything about the card it just goes quiet. No error, no ticket, nothing. Is there another way to reach a human on this or is the bot genuinely it?

the bot is the entire support department. that is not a bug, that is the product you chose

Card value or single transaction? Ten thousand is the card ceiling, not the spend one.

A dead card on PayPaw is usually a dead card, not a dead account. The cards are deliberately cheap and disposable — three percent plus two dollars to cut a new one — and the intended fix when one goes wrong is to issue another rather than to repair that one.

The catch is that balances live on the card, not on you. So if the old one is unresponsive the money does not follow you to the new one automatically, and that is the conversation you actually need the bot to have.

Try the dApp rather than the Telegram bot. Same backend, different queue, and the dApp has surfaced errors for me that the bot silently swallowed.

Had this exact thing last autumn - card went silent for four days and came back on its own with the balance intact, so do not write the money off yet.

What I did afterwards was stop keeping one card as the only card. I run PrivCards alongside it now, seed phrase signup, no email, two percent on top-ups which is real but predictable. It has been steadier for me than anything with a bot in front of it.

The thing that will annoy you is the five thousand per-transaction cap - fine for day to day, useless if you buy anything big in one go. Worth knowing before you move everything across. What are you actually spending on with it?

Two cards so you can be confused in parallel.

The lesson is not which card. It is that you had three hundred and forty dollars sitting on a rail with no support ladder, no account, and no recourse.

Hold a week of spend on these and no more. Everything else stays somewhere you control the keys to. That rule costs you a top-up fee occasionally and saves you this thread permanently.

Fixed. The dApp thing was it - it showed an actual error the bot never gave me, reissued from there and the balance carried across minus the two dollars.

Four days total. Not a freeze in the end, just a support channel that lies by omission.
