Rented account, $2.4k of my money sitting in it, seller hasn't replied in nine days

Rented a warm account off a bloke in March - $200 a month, he keeps admin, I get advertiser access. Worked fine for four months, no drama.

Topped it up with 2400 on the 3rd because a campaign was finally moving. He read the message. Nothing since. Account still runs, I still can't pull a cent back out because I was never the payment owner.

Anything to do here or is this just tuition?

Did you ever hold billing admin or only advertiser? And where did you find him.

Ouch. Nine days isn't necessarily gone though! I've had sellers vanish for two weeks and turn up fine

It's gone, and not necessarily because he's a scammer. Accounts get pulled and the balance goes with them, and the easiest thing for him at that point is silence.

Rule I run: never more in the account than one day of spend. Topping up daily is annoying. It's also the entire reason I've never had to write this thread.

Leaving this up so the next person searches it before they load 2400 into somebody else's account - which is what I should have done.
