simpleswap fixed rate expired on me twice in a row - anyone else or is that just how it is now?

Second time this week. Take the fixed rate, wallet takes its time broadcasting, I come back to the order and it has dropped to floating and settled a bit under.

Not a disaster either time - maybe six dollars across the two - but I used to be able to take a fixed quote and go make coffee. Had the same thing years ago with a different service and it turned out they had quietly shortened the window without saying so.

Has anyone actually timed theirs recently?

Fixed window is short always, is not new thing. You have maybe twenty minute from when you take the quote, and clock start when you press, not when you send.

Anyway your wallet is the slow part here. Broadcast first, then think about coffee.

Fair - though the wallet hasn't got slower and the outcome has changed, and that's the bit bugging me. Nobody's put a stopwatch on it?

Sorry to piggyback on your thread. Is the floating settlement always lower than the fixed quote, or does it sometimes go the other way? I have never once seen it come out above and I assumed that was just my luck.

It goes both ways, you only notice the down one. Nobody remembers the shift that paid four dollars extra.

And you're both on the wrong pairs for this to matter. Their spread on stablecoin pairs is tighter than most aggregators, so if you can route one leg through usdt or usdc you stop caring about the window entirely.

Two orders. What pair and what size on each? Without those this is a story about coffee.
