600 sitting in a source I will never use again and they will not send it back

Deposit 1000 in July because minimum was 500 and i want to test properly. Spend maybe 380, campaign is not working, i stop.

Now i want the rest back. Support say balance is non refundable, is in terms, i go and read the terms and yes is there in one line. "Deposited funds are non-refundable and may be used for advertising services only."

So they hold 620 forever unless i run traffic i do not want to run.

Question is not really legal question. Question is what do people do with dead balance. Is there way to sell it? Somebody must want cheap balance on this network.

you sell it at 60 cents and you're happy about it

There is a market for it and the discount tells you what people think of the source.

What I've seen change hands, roughly, over the last two years:

Source tier Typical discount on balance
Top three networks, transferable account 5-15%
Mid-tier with account transfer allowed 25-40%
Small or sanctioned-adjacent, no transfer 50-70%
No transfer mechanism at all unsellable

The question that decides which row you're in is whether the platform allows you to change the account owner or the payment email, because that's the only mechanism by which anyone can buy your balance. If it doesn't, the buyer is trusting you to run his campaigns from your account, and almost nobody will do that above a couple of hundred.

Caveat: I have never sold a balance, I've only ever burned them down.

What I'd do before looking for a buyer is work out what the balance is worth to you as traffic rather than as money. 620 on a source you don't rate is still 620 of impressions you could point at something you're not currently testing. I have twice found a working angle on a source I'd written off, entirely because I had dead money on it and nothing to lose by spending it stupidly.

  1. Run it on something you'd never risk real budget on. 2) Cap it at 30 a day so it lasts three weeks and you actually learn something. 3) Treat any result as free information, because the money is already gone in your accounting.

Did the 500 minimum come with a bonus credit? If it did, that's usually where the non-refundable clause actually comes from and it changes what you can argue.

Yes. 1000 deposit give 100 bonus which i forget completely.

So they give me small gift and take away my right to refund. Anyway is clever, i not even notice at the time.

Will do what Marta_K say. 30 per day on stupid creative and see.
