Thirty sites to host and I still don't know what actually counts as a footprint

Sorry to dig up a thread from April but this is the only one I've found that answers the actual question rather than just saying "don't use one host".

Any update? I'm at nine sites, not thirty, and I'm trying to work out whether to fix the setup now while it's small or wait until it hurts. Thanks for writing the follow-up either way, most people don't.
