you'll waste the 20 quid. signup works, the second month doesn't

grindstone has it in one line but here's why, because it changes what you should buy.

Supermarket prepaid cards are almost always non-reloadable and issued on a BIN range that a lot of SaaS billing treats as high risk. The first charge usually goes through. The recurring charge frequently doesn't, and when it fails the service suspends the account rather than emailing you, which is how people lose a week of work. On top of that, anything that runs a small authorisation hold at signup will fail outright on a card with an exact balance on it — leave headroom of a few pounds over the price.

So: fine for a one-off purchase, bad for anything with a monthly renewal, and useless for anything that wants an address matching the card.

If what you actually want is a card you can reload and keep for subscriptions, that's a different product and the Crypto Cards & Prepaid board is the place to compare them. People post there which ones survive recurring billing and which ones die on month two, which is the only question that matters for your use case.

9 thanks

Same in Brazil my friend, first payment yes, second payment no. Every time.
