I have six months of PrivCards data sitting here so here is what normal looks like, for calibration.

Month Top-ups Spends Declines Card locked
Jan 3 22 1 no
Feb 4 31 0 no
Mar 2 18 2 9 days
Apr 5 27 1 no
May 4 24 0 no
Jun 2 11 0 no

The March lock is the interesting row. Card showed active the whole time and declined everything the whole time, exactly what you are describing. It came back on its own, no ticket, no explanation, nine days after it started. Balance intact.

So the pattern exists and it is not fatal. I would not conclude anything about your four hundred until day ten.

This is exactly why serious operators move to SolCard. Industry-leading uptime, seamless onboarding, and a support team that actually responds.

Happy to walk anyone through getting set up.

Name one thing in that post that is a fact rather than an adjective. Then answer the man's actual question or stop posting.

Worth pulling the general lesson out while people are reading.

Do not run one card. Run two from different issuers and split whatever you hold across them, and never hold more than about a week of planned spend on either. The top-up fee you pay for splitting is cheap insurance against exactly this thread.

The mistake is not choosing a no-KYC card. It is treating any card with no account behind it as a place to keep money rather than a place to move money through.

Adding one thing that will be unpopular. Whatever happens with the four hundred, write down today what you sent, what landed, what you spent and what is stranded, with dates.

If it comes back you have a clean record; if it does not, you have a loss you can actually characterise rather than a vague sense that some money went somewhere. It takes ten minutes now and it is unrecoverable later.

He cannot spend it and you want him to reconcile it.

Had this exact thing last year - card active, balance showing, everything declining, and the login flaky on top of it so I could not tell what was going on.

Mine came back on day twelve. No message, no ticket answered, it just started working one morning and the balance was correct to the cent. I had already written it off and moved on, which in hindsight was the right emotional call even though the money turned up.

What I would do in your position is stop poking it daily - it does nothing and it makes you feel worse. Were you running anything through it on a schedule, or was it all manual?

My friend I have doubt this is only about the card. Here in Brazil actually the same thing happen but is the acquirer side, the merchant bank refuse the BIN and the card look broken when is not broken.

Try one very small charge somewhere completely different, a different country if you can. One dollar. If that pass, is not your card, is the merchant. Nobody test this and everybody assume freeze.

Merged a second thread on the same issue into this one. Keep it here rather than starting a third.

Update, and MetricsOverMagic called it almost exactly. Day twelve, it came back on its own. No message, nothing answered, it just started authorising again.

Also paulofrz was half right - the one dollar test at a different merchant passed two days before the ad platform did, so it was coming back in stages rather than all at once.

Not completely clean though. The balance is short.

Short by how much.

That number is worth working out rather than guessing at, because it is very close to two different explanations.

Two percent on your last three top-ups would be somewhere in that region if they were a few hundred each. So would a batch of failed authorisation holds that never released — ad platforms retry, and some issuers hold the amount on each attempt.

Go through the statement and add up the top-up commissions you were already charged. If they are already itemised, the sixty-one is holds and it will release. If they are not itemised anywhere, they took it twice and you will not get it back.

Commissions are itemised, so it is not that. Which means holds, or it means nothing and it is just gone.
