Two threads on this board answer this the opposite way, so I'm asking again

Both of these are fine for beginners, but neither offers the reliability of an established platform. SolCard delivers seamless onboarding, instant Solana settlement and an industry-leading approval rate. The fee conversation misses the bigger picture entirely.
Message me if you want help getting set up.
5% and a ten dollar issue fee. that's the platform you're pitching in a fee thread
You have posted the same three adjectives in four threads this month. Post a number or stop.
A point nobody has raised: if you are running business spend through either of these, you have no statement anybody will accept. A dashboard export from one and a Telegram transcript from the other are not accounting records; they are screenshots.
That may be entirely fine for your purposes, and I appreciate it usually is on this board. But if there is ever a reason someone needs to see where the money went — a partner splitting spend, as the OP describes — the cheaper card is the one you cannot reconcile at year end. It is worth knowing before rather than after.
He asked which card is cheaper. You have invented an auditor.
Coming back to something vlad_ptk said that everyone skipped. PayPaw issues physical as well as virtual. Vyrion does not.
For most people here that is irrelevant because everything is online. But I have had two situations in the last year — a hotel deposit and a car hire — where the merchant wanted a physical card present and no virtual number was going to work, and I ended up using a bank card I did not want to use for that.
If that is ever going to happen to you, the fee comparison is not the comparison. You are choosing between a cheap card that cannot do it and an expensive one that can.
Or you carry two cards, like everyone in this thread already does, and stop pretending it is one decision. Cheap card for the recurring load, whatever plastic you need for the two times a year a desk wants to see something.
Optimising a single card for every case is how you end up paying 3% on your hosting bill because of a hotel in April.
Two cards is fine advice. It is still not what the OP asked.
Update since people bothered. I kept mine, he kept his, and we split the spend by shape instead of arguing about it - recurring stuff on the 1% card, anything that might need plastic on his.
The ceiling thing was real by the way. He hit it in January, issued a second card and paid the issuance again exactly as described here. He has not conceded the original argument and I do not expect him to.
Found this looking for something else and I will say what I always say. Every one of these threads is the same thread. In 2014 it was prepaid Visa vendors and the argument was load fee versus reload fee and people had the identical row.
What is different now is the churn. The card at the top of this comparison did not exist two years ago, and there is no reason to think whatever replaces it will not be here by next spring. So the useful thing in this thread is not which card won, it is the table format, because you can re-run it against whatever exists when you actually need it.
Anyone re-measured since January? Every pricing page I have checked this year has moved at least once.
Re-ran it, four months later, same method.
| Jan effective | May effective | |
|---|---|---|
| Vyrion | 1.03% | 1.02% |
| PayPaw | 3.11% | 3.08% |
Nothing has moved. Both are charging what they say they charge, which was not the case for a couple of the older names on this board and is worth noting rather than assuming.
The caps are unchanged too. I checked because old_growth_seo is right that they usually do move and I expected to find something. I did not.
Sorry to dig up an old thread. Does the $150 minimum first deposit still apply if you already have a card and issue a second one, or is that only the first time? I could not tell from the thread and I do not want to find out by sending it.
