UPDATE — 11 May 2026

PayPaw back to normal. Two clean issuances from grubstake88 on 4 May, MetricsOverMagic's numbers from mid-March showing the recovery, and I issued one myself on the 9th in about twelve minutes. Degraded flag off.

List is otherwise unchanged since March, which is the longest it has been stable since I started it.

On paulofrz's note about the optional email field — I have looked and it is still optional. Adding a "creep" line to my own notes for things like this, because he is right that it is how it starts and nobody keeps track of the small changes.

Caveat: I only use two of the five, so this is partial.

One operational thing worth adding to the notes column for anyone running more than a handful of cards. 1) Two of these will happily issue you twenty cards and then quietly slow the twenty-first, which reads as an outage and is actually a velocity control. 2) That behaviour is not in anyone's terms and you only find it by hitting it.

It matters for this list because someone will report a failed issuance as a degradation when it was their own volume. Worth asking how many cards someone had issued that month before you mark a row.

I've hit it on one of the two I use, at around eighteen in a month.

That is a very good point and it generalises; a great deal of what gets reported as a provider fault on this board is a threshold the reporter crossed without knowing it existed.

UPDATE — 21 July 2026

Ten weeks late and I'll own that. The list going quiet is not the same as the list being current, and if you found this from search and the date above is more than about eight weeks old, treat every row as unverified.

Card All-in first month, $500 Last confirmed spend Notes
Vyrion ~$6 14 Jul, me $150 min first deposit, caps raised
PrivCards ~$11.50 2 Jul, tmp_9931 $5k per tx unchanged
PayPaw ~$32 19 Jun, grubstake88 recovered from March
Laso ~$19 6 Apr, paulofrz oldest confirmation on the list

Laso is the one to watch. Not because anything is wrong with it, but because nobody has posted a confirmed spend in fifteen weeks and by my own rule that is where SolCard was in February. Somebody who uses it should post, or it comes off in September and it will probably come off wrongly.

Also adding Marta_K's velocity point to the notes properly: a failed issuance on your nineteenth card in a month is not a provider outage. Ask yourself how many you've issued before you post it as one.

Six months, thirty-odd posts, one card removed and one wrongly written off in the middle. That's about the hit rate I expected.

Six months in and the list has a rule, a moderator, a dissenting minority and a maintainer apologising for latency. Congratulations, you've built an institution.

Still the first thing I check every month. Thank you for keeping it going.
